I haven’t heard much about this until today, but apparently it’s been brewing for a couple of months.
WASHINGTON, March 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The leader of the nation’s largest veterans organization says he is “deeply disappointed and concerned” after a meeting with President Obama today to discuss a proposal to force private insurance companies to pay for the treatment of military veterans who have suffered service-connected disabilities and injuries. The Obama administration recently revealed a plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in such cases.
If this is true, then it’s just goes to further illustrate the lack of concern and respect our current president has for military personnel, and by extension, the safety and security of our country.
WHY would he even consider such a thing? There’s simply no way he doesn’t understand the ramifications of such a move, number one which will be unnecessarily increasing the level of hardship among those who, unlike our current commander-in-chief, put on a uniform and honorably served their country. In addition, we need to consider the negative effect it will most certainly have on morale among current military personnel as well as the probability of reduced enlistment numbers.
What about the effect it will have on the cost of private health insurance for everyone? On the other hand, maybe driving up the cost of health insurance is the whole point?
Whatever ends up happening, one thing is absolutely 100% crystal clear – this administration is going out of its way to undermine our country along with anything and everything that has made it great.
