Victor Davis Hanson: What Happened to Our Postracial President?
Obama has unwittingly made his real beliefs clear.
From time to time, Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell, and Clarence Thomas have naturally talked about growing up African-American under far less tolerant conditions than those we take for granted today. Yet their biggest contributions to American race relations have been their admirable abilities to transcend such racial intolerance — to make being black incidental, not essential, at least in public, to their sterling characters and impressive achievements. more…..

Fred Barnes: Know-Nothing-in-Chief
Is President Obama an economic illiterate? Harsh as that sounds, there’s growing evidence he understands little about economics and even less about economic growth or job creation. Yet, as we saw at last week’s presidential press conference, he’s undeterred from holding forth, with seeming confidence, on economic issues…A good example of Obama’s economic shallowness is his unrelenting defense of the $787 billion “stimulus.” Enacted in February, it has had minimal impact on the economy. Yet Obama has no second thoughts. He says he wouldn’t change a thing about the stimulus. It has “already saved jobs and created new ones,” he said at the press conference, neglecting to note that 2 million jobs–a net 2 million–have been lost since it was passed. more…..

NRO: The Prognosis For Obamacare
The Blue Dogs are in this fight, in part, because of their stated concerns over growing budget deficits and unaffordable entitlements. The president reiterated again last week that he is determined to sign a bill that slows the pace of rising costs and improves our long-term fiscal outlook.

Well, here’s a bill that would go in exactly the opposite direction from what the authors say is their objective, according to CBO. It would add a third runaway health-care entitlement program to the two already on the books (Medicare and Medicaid) with no prospect in sight that spending on any of them will ever come in line with the government’s revenue base. more…..

Audio/Video Clip From Newsbusters via Drudge: Obama 2004: Bush Rushed Legislation Through Congress Without Allowing Time to Read Or Debate
A heretofore “unknown” 2004 interview with Barack Obama by leftwing radio host Randi Rhodes has just emerged. And basically, as you shall hear, Obama is saying do as I say, not as I do. In this case he was referring to quickly forcing legislation through congress. As you can hear in this  interview, uncovered by Naked Emporer News,  the hypocrisy seems so massive that it is destined to go viral on the Web. more…..

AZcentral: New guidelines lead 3 detained immigrants to be freed
[That should read 'illegal immigrants' - Cnation]

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio promised to keep his controversial crime-suppression operations coming despite a change in federal guidelines that will prevent deputies from arresting immigrants solely for being in the country illegally. Deputies witnessed the impact of the new regulations during one of the operations Thursday and Friday in the southeast Valley after they released nine people from custody. The nine were suspected to be in the country illegally, but because they had committed no other criminal or civil violations, the deputies said federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents instructed them to let the nine go free. more…..

Connie Hair: Carter & Co. Kick House Censors
Democrat censorship of House Republicans’ constituent mailings has reached Orwellian levels.  Republican members of the House Monday night took to the House floor during Special Orders speeches and gave examples of some of the censorship horror stories…. House Democrats are engaging in a gross abuse of power by censoring the ability of Republicans to communicate the facts to their constituents in a timely manner. “If they take away free speech from members of Congress, when will they take it away from the press?” Carter asked from the House floor.  “When will they take it away from the people?” more…..

Lloyd Marcus: Bias you can BET on
With the majority of black Americans getting their news from black and white liberal-biased media, there is very little chance of them hearing the truth. Fortunately, I escaped the liberal plantation in the early 90s when I was exposed to Rush Limbaugh. Listening to Rush introduced me to brilliant black conservatives like Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams.
I thought, “Why haven’t these guys been featured on Oprah or honored at the NAACP awards?”
Answer: These blacks are paradigm breakers. They do not fit the “we are black, thus special concessions must be made for us” template.
