In a “Classic Display Of Tolerance” ®, an avowed far left wing democrat made a death threat against Trent Humphries, leader of the Tucson Tea Party, during a taping of an ABC “town hall’ event hosted by Christianne Amanpour.
The avowed left wing democrat in question is none other than Eric Fuller, one of the victims of Jared Loughner’s shooting rampage last weekend that left six dead and 13 injured.
Before you even think of giving me shit for describing Fuller as I have, understand that while I’m sorry he was shot, being a victim does not give him the right to spread malicious lies and then follow them up with death threats. Furthermore, what has been uncovered about Fuller’s life and activities prior to last week’s shooting support the assertion that he is, in fact, an avowed member of the far left.
But first, the story:
PHOENIX — One of the Arizona shooting victims was arrested Saturday and then taken for a psychiatric evaluation after authorities said he took a picture of a tea party leader at televised town hall meeting and yelled: “you’re dead.”
James Eric Fuller, 63, objected to something Trent Humphries said during the forum taped for a special edition of ABC’s “This Week” with Christiane Amanpour, Pima County sheriff’s spokesman Jason Ogan said. Fuller was in the front row and apparently became upset when Humphries suggested that any conversations about gun control should be delayed until all the dead were buried, KGUN-TV in Tucson reported.
Fuller was arrested on misdemeanor disorderly conduct and threat charges, Ogan said. While Fuller was being escorted out, deputies decided he needed a mental health evaluation and he was taken to a hospital, where he remained Saturday evening.
The hospital will determine when he will be released, Ogan said.
According to State representative Terri Proud, who was at the event seated between Fuller and Humphries:
Trent Humphries, the Pima County tea party leader, stood up to speak during the event. He was being very respectful. Trent told the audience that before we start placing blame on individuals we need to get all the facts. Trent then told everyone that one of those killed during the shooting was his neighbor and that he was affected like everyone else by the tragedy… While Trent was speaking- And it was planned that he would speak- One member in the audience and reportedly one of the victims of the tragedy started screaming, “Trent Humphries you’re dead!” The police immediately escorted him out. On his way out he screamed, “You’re all whores.”
Predictably, the left are already coming out in support of fuller. Commenter “Orange County California” wrote
Eric Fuller suffered enough already. The police should drop the charges. Tucson tea bagger Trent Humphries needs to get a life. He already caused enough suffering. I would have done the same if I was Eric Fuller.
Of course you would have, Orange County. That’s the whole point. This is what the left does. They are stupid, immature, and incapable of controlling their emotions.
I don’t know where this is headed….actually, that’s not true, I have a very good idea where this is headed – but it’s Obvious that Obama’s campaign stop Tucson memorial speech the other day has done nothing to slow down the smear campaign on conservatives coming from the insane left.

Clearly this man couldn’t possibly be under immense stress from having been shot twice. He’s just a nutty leftist. Jesus panty sniffing Christ.
He may well be under immense stress, but A) that excuses nothing, and B)Listen to his interview on democracy now. Look at his online profile from the hypnosis site linked above – from a full year before the shooting – with calls for ‘social justice’ and signs of Bush derangement syndrome. With clues like that, even a Tilly sister could tell you what his politics are.
Yeah, social justice sucks. Your country should go back to the good old days when women couldn’t vote and blacks were property.
Just so we’re clear, the people who championed those issues fought for “social justice”.

Fuller was out of line, but when you are actually one of the victims at the epicenter of something as big at this… you deserve to be cut some slack.
I hope you don’t pretend to be a Christian… Jesus would be combing the puke out of his beard for a week if he ever saw the way the American right behaved in his name.

Social justice in 2011 is a major tenet of the American left. It’s about taking from the producers and giving to the non-producers. It’s “spreading the wealth around”….entitlement programs, economic redistribution….equalizing society on the backs of those who create wealth and own property. It’s unions shaking down the ‘evil corporations’ and forcing them into bankruptcy (GM, Chrysler), overseas, or out of business. But you already know all that.
First I’ve heard of this. Can you provide a link of some sort? Media Matters or Think Progress do not count. A word of warning though – if either of those things were done in humor and then blown out out of proportion by a hyper-sensitive left – and I’ll bet dollars-to-donuts they were – I will probably use the word ‘pussy’ at least once in our ensuing conversation.
And then we can talk about James Clyburn, Harry Reid and the word ‘Negro’. Or maybe we can talk about the Palin haters who openly and unabashedly wish her dead, or who attack her children. Or the Limbaugh haters who wished him dead when he thought he had a heart attack, or the people who call Michelle Malkin a ‘traitor cunt’ (because she’s Asian) and wish her dead on a regular basis, or maybe Montel Williams telling Michelle Bachmann to slit her own throat, Kathy Griffin, Joy Behar, George Clooney…..fuck, I could go on for days. All people who have made threats or wished harm against conservatives in a very ugly, non-joking manner, and all of whom have been given a 100% pass by the sensitive and fair-minded left.
I think many people, myself included, cut Fuller a lot of slack when he spouted off about Palin, Beck, etc.. the other day. What he did yesterday though went way, way beyond simply blowing off some steam. His defenders are claiming ptsd, but that does not excuse threatening someone’s life.
I believe people need to be held accountable for their actions. Not their imaginary actions (thinking of Maureen Dowd and the word ‘boy’), but the things they actually do. Fuller has been taken in for psychiatric evaluation, which is probably a good thing, but ptsd (which is what many of his defenders are claiming) or not, doesn’t give him a free pass on a death threat.
I’ll tell you what – if you count yourself in with the likes of those I named above, your time would probably be better spent getting your own house in order.

It would be nice if just once those on the left who spout the type of nonsense evident in the bulk of your comment above would support their arguments with facts and reason once challenged with facts and reason, but it never, ever happens. They either respond with strawmen, non-sequitors or personal attacks, or simply bail out of the discussion altogether.
