This afternoon, Martha Coakley’s campaign accused the Scott Brown campaign of cheating in today’s special election. The specific accusation involved ballot tampering.

We do not yet know why this is happening, but you and everyone you know needs to be aware of the situation so that you can carefully inspect your ballot.  If a vote has already been marked, you must return the ballot to the elections official, demand a clean ballot, and call our Voter Protection Hotline at 617-351-6866.

As you might expect, none of the claims of ballot fraud could be verified. No big surprise there. The Massachusetts Secretary of State has dismissed the allegations outright.

No surprises here….. With the 2010 midterms right around the corner, the election fraud wing of the Obama administration will need its foot soldiers on the ground and well-funded.

Last night, defying the will of a bipartisan majority of the House and Senate, Democrats voted to allow the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) to receive federal taxpayer dollars.

In September, large Congressional majorities in both houses voted to sever all ties between the federal government and ACORN.  The Senate vote was 85-11; the House vote was 345-75.  You’d think that those votes, which USA Today described as prohibiting “any federal funding for the community organizing group,” would have settled the matter.  You’d be wrong.

Months later, with the country’s focus on jobs, healthcare, and the Global War on Terror, Democrats are moving to restore funding to ACORN.  Last night, Rep. Tom Latham (R-IA) offered an amendment during deliberations on the Democrats’ massive year-end appropriations bill to clarify the prohibition on federal funds going to ACORN or its subsidiaries.  That amendment was shot down on a 5-9 party line vote as Republicans sided with taxpayers while Democrats stood with ACORN.

Rep. Latham’s amendment is necessary to prevent taxpayer money from going to ACORN because the Obama Administration’s Department of Justice has taken advantage of a legal loophole to allow ACORN to continue to receive federal funds – despite the passage of the House GOP’s Defund ACORN Act in the fall.

The American people and the Congress have spoken loud and clear: ACORN should be denied any taxpayer funds.  Period.

FOX: Decorated WWII Veteran, 90, Fights HOA to Raise Flag in His Yard

A veteran of three wars who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor is now facing an unlikely enemy — his neighbors.

Col. Van T. Barfoot, 90, has raised the Stars and Stripes every day at sunrise and lowered them every day at sunset since he served in the U.S. Army. But on Tuesday he received a letter from the law firm that represents his homeowners’ association, ordering him to remove the flagpole from his Richmond, Va. yard by 5 p.m. on Friday or face “legal action.”

WRAL.com (AP) : Senate Democrats vote to keep over $400 billion Medicare cuts in health bill

WASHINGTON — Casting its first votes on revamping the nation’s health care system, the Senate rejected a Republican bid Thursday to stave off Medicare cuts and approved safeguards for coverage of mammograms and other preventive tests for women. The first round of votes ended with a fragile Democratic coalition hanging together.

Senators voted 58-42 to reject an amendment by Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., that would have stripped more than $400 billion in Medicare cuts from the nearly $1 trillion measure. It would have sent the entire 2,074-page bill back to the Senate Finance Committee for a redo.

Republicans said the proposed cuts to health insurance plans and medical providers mean seniors in the popular Medicare Advantage program will lose benefits. And they predicted lawmakers will ultimately back away from the cuts, once seniors start feeling the brunt.

“Medicare is already in trouble. The program needs to be fixed, not raided to create another new government program,” said Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. more…..

It’s been brought to my attention by several reliable sources that the Defense Department has brought Louay Safi to Fort Hood as an instructor, and that he has been lecturing on Islam to our troops in Fort Hood who are about to deploy to Afghanistan. Safi is a top official of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), and served as research director at the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT).

Worse, last evening, Safi was apparently permitted to present a check (evidently on behalf of ISNA) to the families of the victims of last month’s Fort Hood massacre. A military source told the blogger Barbarossa at the Jawa Report: “This is nothing short of blood money. AP: Gore Cancels Climate Lecture in Copenhagen

COPENHAGEN — Climate campaigner Al Gore has canceled a lecture he was supposed to deliver in Copenhagen.

The former vice president and Nobel Peace Prize winner had been scheduled to speak to more than 3,000 people at a Dec. 16 event hosted by the Berlingske Tidende newspaper group.

ACORN. Organizing For America. Emanuel. Gaspard. SEIU. The Community Organizer In Chief himself.

Team Obama is out in force, and have dispatched their big guns in an attempt to steal the NY-23 Congressional and New Jersey gubernatorial races.

In New Jersey,  the Democrats are actively and openly – brazenly – trying to clear the way for absentee ballot fraud. According to the National Review:

This year, New Jersey’s registered voters can request a mail-in ballot for any reason. (Before 2005, voters needed to provide a reason for why they needed an absentee ballot.) The state received about 150,000 absentee-ballot applications this year.

On about 2,300 of those applications so far, the signature on the request form does not match the signature on the voter’s registration forms with the state.

In a development that is depressingly predictable, the New Jersey Democratic party is asking the state to provide provisional ballots for all these voters. Those ballots could, presumably, be used to overcome any narrow lead by Republican Chris Christie over Democrat Jon Corzine on Election Day.

In the Wall Street Journal, John Fund writes:

The state has received a flood of 180,000 absentee ballot requests. On some 3,000 forms the signature doesn’t match the one on file with county clerks. Yet citing concerns that voters would be disenfranchised, Democratic Party lawyer Paul Josephson wrote New Jersey’s secretary of state asking her “to instruct County Clerks not to deny applications on the basis of signature comparison alone.” Mr. Josephson maintained that county clerks “may be overworked and are likely not trained in handwriting analysis” and insisted that voters with suspect applications should be allowed to cast provisional ballots. Those ballots, of course, would then provide a pool of votes that would be subject to litigation in any recount, with the occupant of New Jersey’s highest office determined by Florida 2000-style scrutiny of ballot applications.

Yes, please pay no attention to the mis-matched signatures. Nothing funny going on here. Trust us…

So where is ACORN and the SEIU, you ask? From BigGovernment:

More telling that the fix is in, however, is the sudden appearance of ACORN on the scene. Not by name, mind you, as their reputation is so tarnished that even New Jersey Democrats don’t want to be associated with them. No, in New Jersey ACORN sought cover behind its big brother, SEIU, specifically SEIU Local 32BJ.

The political director for the SEIU local is Peter Colavito. Just last year, he was ACORN’s political director in New York, working directly under Bertha Lewis, ACORN’s CEO and co-chair of ACORN-backed Working Families Party. He was, and remains, a top official and board member of the Working Families Party in New York. In fact, his wife is currently an employee of the Working Families Party. Corzine has made much of his endorsement by the SEIU local, failing to mention the union’s deep ties to both ACORN and its Working Families Party in New York.

These ties are starting to appear, however. GOP officials recently received a phone tip from a hospital in Newark, reporting that people in ACORN t-shirts were in the facility signing up and collecting absentee ballots. New Jersey law allows anyone to take up to 10 absentee ballots at a time. The tipster reported seeing individuals in the ACORN shirts entering the hospital with blank absentee ballots and leaving with completed ballots.

There are reports out of Camden, New Jersey that voters are discovering that absentee ballots have already been submitted under their name. They did not authorize these ballots. Early reports suggested that the number of absentee ballots ‘requested’ in Camden city is higher than in any previous election. This will no doubt spark confusion on election day.

In the mean time, Obama is actually robocalling for Corzine. That is a clear an indication as you’ll get how desperately Team Obama wants to keep Corzine in power, because – and they’ll deny this to the grave – the NJ governor’s race is a referendum on Team Obama, and a loss there may well be all it takes to make the Blue Dogs (fiscally conservative Democrats) walk away from Obamacare for good.

Up in New York meanwhile, Team Obama, including ACORN, are up to their necks in it in the 23rd district..

Multiple sources on the ground in New York’s 23rd Congressional district confirm that ACORN is expected to be actively protesting the election results in Clinton County, New York tomorrow. This move comes on the heels of a legal win for the Hoffman camp today as it was ruled that all poll watchers would have to be registered voters of NY 23.
Rob Ryan, spokesman for the Hoffman campaign, states that the legal decision is all about ballot security and that the move by ACORN is not a surprise.

“The Working Family Party is desperate, Today’s poll show that Doug Hoffman is drawing votes from all Demographics”.

While the focus tomorrow will be on securing a win for Hoffman, Ryan says there are still worries about:  “voter intimidation, absentee ballot fraud and groups like ACORN/Working Families Party and big labor stealing the election from the people of the 23rd district.”

Among those who convinced Dede Scozzafava to endorse Democrat Bill Owens over the weekend was Patrick Gaspard, former SEIU vice-president, former ACORN political director, and currently Obama’s White House political affairs director.

The Washington Post reported: Steeped in New York politics, he played a pivotal role in the effort over the weekend to persuade Republican State Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava to endorse the Democratic candidate in the special election in New York’s 23rd Congressional District, two senior White House officials said Sunday. One senior official added that Gaspard was the “air traffic controller” of multiple parties as events in the district unfolded.

Last but not least, we have Organizing For America manning the phones in an attempt to ‘get out the vote’. But it’s not quite that simple. (it wouldn’t be, would it?).

It doesn’t get any dirtier than this, folks. This is Obama ‘hope and change’ in full bloom. Pure leftist radical election stealing tactics being used right out in the open. And why not? It’s not like Eric Holder’s Justice Department is going to do anything about it… or have we already forgotten how he walked away from from a slam-dunk voter intimidation case – a case that the Justice Department had already won – against the Black Panthers earlier this year.

We all need to understand that there’s nothing the Democrats won’t do, no level they won’t sink to, no underhanded tactic they won’t try, in their effort to remain in power. They are this close to realizing their dream of destroying our nations wealth and prosperity and building their socialist paradise. If you think they’re going to go quietly, you are sorely mistaken. We need to be prepared to deal with what’s sure to be coming.

Finally, Moe Lane at RedState offers this bit of advice:

What can you do about it?

1. If you’re a NJ voter, then vote for Chris Christie.  As the saying goes: if it isn’t close, they can’t cheat.

2. If you have a video camera, make sure that you’re in the area of a vulnerable polling station (officially or not) and keep a lookout for shenanigans.  Go in a group, be prepared to run, and remember that the idea is to shine a light on skulduggery, not strike a blow for fair elections via street fighting.  Let the Democrats scream curses and vitriol at you.
3. If you don’t have a video camera, go volunteer .  Also: get a video camera. We’ll have to do this again next year.

We all know about the well-documented cases of voter registration fraud involving ACORN and its employees over the past couple of years. The argument from ACORN’s supporters has always been that the forgeries have been so obvious that they never turned into actual votes or counted ballots.

It seems to me that in terms of scanning for voter fraud, if you’re looking for names like Tony Romo and Mickey Mouse, you’re not looking for the innocuous names like Kimberlee Truell or Michael Ward.

It’s long been my contention (I don’t believe I’ve ever blogged about it though so you’re just gonna have to take my word) that the Mickey Mouse-type registrations were a smokescreen, nothing more; that for every bogus, highly visible ‘Mickey Mouse” registration or ballot that was being discovered, there was a below-the-radar, extremely legitimate looking registration or ballot slipping through unnoticed.

If I were a fraudster, that’s how I’d do it.

In Troy, New York, that may be exactly how they did it.

‘They Tried to Steal an Election,’ N.Y. Voter Fraud Case Heats Up

Thirty-eight forged or fraudulent ballots have been thrown out, according to records at the Rensselaer County Board of Elections in Troy, N.Y. Enough votes, an election official admits, to likely have tipped the November election to the Democrats.

Brian Suozzo voted with an absentee ballot in the Working Families Party primary on Sept. 15 because, as his application stated, he was “at home recovering from medical procedure.”

Jessica Boomhower’s application said she would be attending a “work conference in Boston.”

Michael Ward couldn’t vote in person because he was “taking care of elderly parent.”

Kimberlee Truell was on a “Bus trip to casino,” as was Miguel Vazques.

The only problem with these absentee ballot records at the Rensselaer County Board of Elections in Troy, N.Y., is that they’re phony, voters and investigators say — and they’ve prompted what’s being called an unprecedented investigation of suspected voter fraud.

Thirty-eight forged or fraudulent ballots have been thrown out — enough votes, an election official admits, to likely have tipped the city council and county elections in November to the Democrats. Candidates would have been able to run both on the Democratic and Working Families Party lines in two weeks, and that could have given the Democrats the general election.

According to the FOX News article, the absentee ballots were the work of the Working Families Party, an ACORN front group that has been gaining strength in New York.

Hillary Clinton garnered 2.7 percent of her total votes from the WFP line when she first ran for Senate in 2000, which increased to 5 percent of her total vote in 2006. In September, Clinton’s former campaign manager for her 2000 Senate run, New York City Councilman Bill DeBlasio, who has been endorsed by the WFP, beat two long-established politicians in the Democratic primary. Critics also accuse the Working Families Party of having a long association with the troubled activist group, ACORN. Bertha Lewis, ACORN’s CEO, is one of the party’s co-founders. The New York Times reported this month that “Patrick Gaspard, the White House political director, worked with ACORN in New York to set up the Working Families political party and sat on the party’s board with Ms. Lewis.”

So basically what we have here is yet another ACORN voter fraud scandal. One that will, undoubtedly, go uninvestigated by Congress (John Conyers already backed away fron an ACORN investigation once before) or Eric Holder’s Justice Department (you know, the same Justice Department that let the New Black Panthers walk away from a clear cut case of voter intimidation in Pennsylvania, and who just forced a small North Carolina town to hold partisan electons so black voters would know who to vote for. Interestingly enough the DOJ  official responsible for both of these cases that seem to have been decided primarily on race, is Assistant Attorney General Loretta King, a woman who is rapidly acquiring a well-earned reputation for placing blind justice second to a racial agenda, and who, in my opinion, is nothing more than a dolled-up racist in a position of authority..

Above all though, these are Barack Obama’s people; he’s one of them, he owes them, and he will continue to protect them.

A thinking, feeling human being should, at their core, have some minimum level of decency, some minimum level of compassion for fellow human beings below which their God-given sense of right and wrong, good and evil, will override their everyday passions and politics; a point below which they will put aside their superficial and even deeply-held beliefs, if only just for a moment, to join with their fellow human beings to say “This Is WRONG!”.

By now, we all know about the ACORN expose by filmmakers James O’Keefe and Hanna Giles. The series of tapes they’ve released this week shows O’Keefe and Giles entering ACORN offices in DC, Baltimore, NYC, San Bernadino and now San Diego dressed as a pimp and prostitute. The premise is that they’re looking for advice and assistance in securing funds for a house in which they plan on setting up a prostitution service featuring 12-15 year-old El Salvadoran girls smuggled into the country illegally. In each and every case,  the ACORN employees were not only not shocked, but were went out of their way to assist and advise O’Keefe and Giles on subjects such as how to set up the business, hide the money, falsify tax forms, and even smuggle the underage girls into the country for the purposes of prostitution.

Even the most partisan among us should be shocked and disgusted by the ACORN employees’ willingness to facilitate and encourage the building of a child prostitution business. No matter how much we may disagree politically, this is something that should repulse us all, as well as bring universal condemnation of ACORN or anyone else who promotes or is complicit in promoting child prostitution.

So what does the ‘compassionate’ far left have to say about this?

An email dropped into my inbox this evening with a link to an article on this rather sad and pathetic anti-FOX news website (sorry, I refuse to link it here) personally attacking James O’Keefe for the job he and Hannah Giles did in exposing ACORN. Throughout the article and extending into the 20 or so comments that followed, the focus of the attack was primarily on O’Keef’s conservative political leanings, as well as some writings on his personal blog in which these losers tried to find something to ridicule. Basically, they ‘dug’, found nothing, and then attacked him anyway. Why? Because that’s what the far left does, lash out like little emotionally unstable children.

What was missing from the article and accompanying comments, however, was any sort of critical analysis of the situation, or acknowledgement – even in passing – that what the ACORN people did was wrong.

The villains, according to these people? O’Keefe. Giles. Beck. Fox. Right Wingers. Conservatives. Republicans.

Here was my response. Not holding my breath expecting it to be approved, but maybe they’ll surprise me:

These two (O’Keefe and Giles) expose an organization intent on helping facilitate child prostitution, and you have a problem with….O’Keefe and Giles?

Are you f*ing kidding me?

In truly classic liberal form, almost to a man you personally attack O’Keefe and Giles but say absolutely nothing about the real issue, which is openly criminal activity by ACORN.

My suggestion to the author of this poorly-written and entirely shameful hit piece, as well as to those passing this link around as though they’re doing the world a favor by ‘exposing’ O’Keefe and Giles: perhaps instead of creating new and increasingly unhinged ways to blame FOX News, Republicans, Glenn Beck, etc…you might instead use the time for some much-needed introspection to perhaps figure what’s gone so horribly wrong in your -own- lives to lead you to the point where you actually believe the filmmakers to be the villains in this thing.

There is something very, very wrong with your thought process.

This is why they call Schultz ‘Big Dumb Ed”. Actually, it would be easy to take a few shots at Schultz’ staggering lack of intelligence and extreme intellectual dishonesty and leave it at that, but the fact that he and others like him can simultaneously defend ACORN while blaming everything on the republican party and conservatives only further illustrates the degree of derangement that permeates and even defines the far left. Sickening.

What about the child prostitution, ED, or is that the republicans fault too? Or maybe you’re just OK with it.

(as an aside on Bertha Lewis, the more she talks, the further she sinks the chances of even the best attorneys (not to suggest for a second that sleazeball hack moron ACORN attorney Scott Levinson has the chops to deal with any of this) to construct a case against O’Keefe and Giles that couldn’t be immediately destroyed by someone with the minimal intellectual firepower of, oh, I dunno…. a Tilly sister, perhaps.)

The far left in this country has some real problems; problems that extend well beyond a fatally flawed ideology and into what is, in my opinion, some sort of psychosis that actually allows that ideology to trump even something as vile, as morally repugnant, as undeniably evil as the forced prostitution of children.

And they wonder why their agenda is being rejected by the American people.
