In response to this story by AP ‘reporter’ Christina Hoag, in which she rails against alleged racist incidents at college campuses but fails to mention that the perpetrators of at least two of them were members of the minority groups themselves:

The author of this reprehensible piece of ‘journalism’, Christina Hoag, should be ashamed of herself for her blatant and intentional - since there’s no way she couldn’t know the whole story - misrepresentation of the types of situations she claims to be reporting on. In almost all cases, the offending item (noose/swastika/spray-painted racial slur, etc…) has been shown to have been placed by a member of the target minority themselves as a way to garner sympathy for their ‘plight’.

Ms. Hoag won’t tell you, for example, that the UC San Diego noose was planted by a (unspecified) minority female, while the ‘compton cookout‘ was organized by a black man.

Why? Because it won’t fit the narrative of Hoag and her ilk that the white man is the biggest single perpetrator of racism among us.

The fact, glaringly obvious to anyone capable of honest analysis, is that nothing is further from the truth.

The overwhelming majority of racism in this country emanates from the very people who cry about it the loudest….who also happen to be the very same people who view every person and every situation in terms of race. It’s always race first. Before character. Before merit. Before accomplishment.

It is a disgraceful situation that will continue to tear our country apart unless the people - you know, us -  and our elected representatives develop the spine to say ‘No More”. And, of course, until responsible news organizations throw agenda-driven hacks like Ms. Hoag out onto the street where they belong.

That’s right, the hypocrites on the left - you know, the same ones who vehemently attacked Don Imus, Trent Lott, George Allen, David Howard and countless others of opposing political viewpoints for what they felt were “racially insensitive” remarks - are giving a pass to Senate majority leader Harry Reid after certain comments Reidd made about Obama during the 2008 presidential race came to light today.

According to Reid, Obama would score points with voters for his “light skin” and for having “…no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”.

While this is really no surprise coming from anyone on the left considering the left’s well-established inability to see beyond ones race, gender, and sexual preference, it is a shocker to hear what race hustler extraordanaire Al Sharpton had to say about it:

“While there is no question that Senator Reid did not select the best word choice in this instance, these comments should not distract America from its continued focus on securing healthcare or creating jobs for its people,”

Translation - “let’s not come down on Harry when he’s in the middle of trying to give the black community lots of free shit…”

We all heard Nancy Pelosi a few weeks ago, while trying to coax her botox and plasticized face - which if you listen closely, can be heard crackling lke a new leather jacket - into an expression of concerned sadness, respond to a reporter’s question on her feelings about the tone of the healthcare debate

“I have concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw … I saw this myself in the late ’70s in San Francisco,” Pelosi said, choking up and with tears forming in her eyes. “This kind of rhetoric is just, is really frightening and it created a climate in which we, violence took place and … I wish that we would all, again, curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made.”

She went on to say:

“Our country is great because people can say what they think and they believe, but I also think that they have to take responsibility for any incitement that they may cause.”

Never mind that the Tea Party protests have been 100% non-violent, and that the only violence at the town hall meetings was perpetrated by either SEIU members or the occasional deranged leftist against the generally peaceful conservative protesters.

Never mind that the very violence she refers to from the 70s was the work of the liberal left and the ‘gay community’. You know, her hometown constituency.

Today, bottom feeder/intellectual powerhouse Joy Bahar and her guest Gore Vidal fantasize about murdering George W. Bush. Last week, Chris ‘Tingles’ Matthews says someone should put a pellet gun in Rush Limbaugh’s mouth and pull the trigger. And now, reports are that someone took a shot, as in fired a fucking gun, at Lou Dobbs’ home while his wife was standing outside a couple of weeks ago..

The violence and the violent rhetoric is from the left. It’s always from the left, and Nancy Pelosi, with all her talk about the TEA partiers carrying Racist/Nazi signs and spewing racist rhetoric is as responsible for it as anyone, probably even moreso, as most on the left don’t have a high-profile position like the house speakership from which to peddle their dishonest, hateful insanity from.

Will Nancy Pelosi now come out, crocodile tears and all, and condemn Bahar, Vidal, and Matthews for inciting violence against conservatives? Will she apologize and take responsibility for her part in this incitement? Don’t hold your breath. To publicly denounce the incendiary words of those who, like Matthews and Vidal, bow at the altar of Obama would require at least a minimal degree of both integrity and character, neither of which she - or our president for that matter - possess.

When did this become Glenn Beck’s rally?

Is it because the far left, apparently unaccustomed to taking to the streets without first receiving a telephone call with direct marching orders (and in recent incidences, a call followed by a paycheck) from OFA, ACORN, HCAN, their unions or the like, still can’t come to terms with the fact that normal everyday Americans have the ability, means and desire to act of their own free will? Is the only way they can make sense of it to point to some perceived enemy of theirs and say “he’s the one who’s making them do it”, as though Beck is some sort of conservative pied piper? Frankly, I think it’s amazing how much power and influence they ascribe to a man who they roundly consider to be little more than a buffoon in clown shoes.

Or - and this is where my money lies - is it simply another pathetically weak attempt to marginalize a growing movement that’s making them increasingly uneasy?

Not that a single member of the far left will listen, but here it is for the record - we’re not here because Glenn Beck told us to be here, you mental midgets, we’re here because we want and need to be. We’re here because the far left of the democrat party has given us no choice but to be here. If Glenn Beck didn’t exist, we’d still be here, just as active, vocal, determined and committed.

We didn’t join him, he joined us.

And let’s be really honest for a second - you’ll never openly admit it, but deep down you really do know it’s not about Beck.

On calling it a “racist white movement”:

It’s a shame - and I mean that with sincerity and a great deal of sadness -  that such a large percentage of black Americans have been programmed to believe by their so-called ‘leaders’ like Jackson, Sharpton, the radical churches, and even (especially) ‘do-gooders’ like Ted Kennedy - quite possibly the single greatest enemy that black America has ever had - that they aren’t good enough or smart enough to be self-sufficient, and that the only way up and out for them is through entitlement programs, welfare, affirmative action, and now, socialized medicine and the idea that everyone’s entitled not just to equal opportunity, but equal outcome as well. 45 years of this unconscionable lie and the democratic policies it embraces has led to the massive decimation of the black community that we see today.

It is no surprise then that we don’t see more black faces at the rallies. There are some…I wish there were more. Three of the most popular speakers at the DC rally were black - Lloyd marcus (OK, not a speaker per se, but his re-lyricizing of New York, New Yorky, schlocky as it was, got the crowd going), the Rev C.L. Bryant (whose speech was probably the most passionate and motivating of the day and whom the crowd went -nuts- for. Video as soon as I can find one), and Angela McGlowan, who spoke of the damage black politicians and ‘leaders’ are doing do race relations in our country.

Those who call us racists are being either willfully ignorant, blatantly dishonest, or both about what’s going on here. They lash out because they have nothing else; the facts are against them, and to engage in a substantive argument would expose them as the vicious, spineless racist bigots they themselves truly are.

The far left wants you to believe that black Americans are excluded from our events, that we simply don’t want them there. The fact is, nothing can be further from the truth. If you take an honest look at who spends an inordinate amount of time separating people out by race, ethnicity, gender, sexual proclivities, etc..and I mean an honest look, you’ll quickly come to realize how hypocritical and completely full of shit the left has been and continues to be on this issue. The left has a vested interest in keeping the people of this nation divided - that’s what gives them their power - , and throwing the race/gender/ethnicity/ card out there at every opportunity continues to be one of their most effective methods of perpetuating that division.

I’ve been reading about how the left is starting to play the race card with regards to the tea party protests cropping up all across America. Michelle Malkin reports on how sensationalist race baiter Geraldo Rivera commented on how he’s “never seen any people of color” at the tea parties.

To those who choose to believe Geraldo and those like him, I ask you to consider just one simple thing - who, specifically, is telling “people of color” that they’re not welcome at these protests? If you’re honest with yourself with the answer, you may just start to realize how you are being played by the race hustlers.

Here’s a fact: ALL Americans are welcome at these tea party protests, as well as to any other organized or disorganized gatherings we may have in the future.

Unlike the left, we do not care what race, creed or color our fellow Americans are. We do not need to ’stock’ our protests with ringers in order to play or pander to any particular demographic. We are protesting because we care about the future of America for ALL Americans, not just for some little select group.

Unlike the left, we are honest about who we are, what we’re doing, and why we’re doing it.

Don’t let the race hustlers like Geraldo and Acorn con you on this one - this isn’t a ‘white’ thing, it’s an ‘everyone’ thing. The current level, direction, and sheer wastefulness of government spending is an outrage that should be shared by all Americans. And believe me, when the bill comes due for the current administration’s wild, reckless spending spree, every last one of us, whether black, white, Christian, Muslim, conservative, liberal, etc… will be asked forced to ante up.

Please, come join us. We’d love to have you.

The black men, women and children at yesterday’s rally were, to us, just men, women, and children. They were not ‘African-Americans”, they were not ‘black Americans’, they were just Americans, and I was honored to stand with them.

I just posted the following at some far left blog after finding, for the umpteenth time this morning, yet another venom-filled attack on the people who attended the 9/12 rally in DC yesterday by some far-left whackjob. I don’t know what the hell is wrong with these people. They’re even trying to claim that pictures of yesterdays event in DC were faked.

Amazing, the amount of…I dunno, trying to be polite here so won’t call it nutjobbery…let’s call it ‘distorted perception’ one can stumble upon by a simple google search for ‘DC crowd estimates’. Seems there are a lot of nervous liberals out there today posting feverishly in an attempt to discredit the very real, very organic movement against the Obama administration’s radical policies and ‘drunken sailor’ spending.

Yes, we know Bush was bad too, but this administration was the proverbial straw.

Try as you may to make this about protecting the rich, about Palin/McCain, about hate and racism (which is the left’s stock-in-trade, not ours), it’s not working.

The speakers at the DC rally yesterday included Rev C.L. Bryant, Mason Weaver, Deneen Borelli and Lloyd Marcus. Look them up, and try to resist the urge to call then “uncle toms”, “sellouts”, or “oreos”.

Instead, try calling them Americans. Like we do.

I got an email today from someone who, in response to a comment I made about Obamacare covering illegals, pointed me to a Politifact article, written and researched by one Angie Drobnic Holan, that tries to make the case that Obama was telling the truth when he said in last night’s health care commercial:

“There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false — the reforms I’m proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.”

This Politifact article is, quite frankly, ridiculous, and showcases the sort of  ‘only in the mind of a liberal’ logic that makes those of us with a modicum of intelligence and capacity to recognize the angles want to gouge our own eyes out with a spoon.

She writes:

One place where the bill does mention immigration status is for “affordability credits.” These are tax credits for people of modest means need to buy health insurance. The credits would help them buy insurance on a national health insurance exchange. The bill specifically says that people in the United States illegally are not eligible for tax credits, on page 132, section 242.

Still, given all that, we have heard from people who said that other aspects of reform could benefit illegal immigrants.

One of the most detailed responses was from the anti-immigration group Federation for American Immigration Reform, called FAIR. You can read their statement on the matter on their Web site.

The above paragraph leaves little doubt of Ms Holan’s politics. FAIR is not “anti-immigrant”, a term used almost exclusively by the open borders crowd to disparage those who understand the value of strong immigration policy and secure borders. FAIR is against ILLEGAL immigration.

Primarily, they argue that illegal immigrants would be permitted to purchase insurance on the national health insurance exchange because the bill does not include a mechanism for verifying citizenship. So illegal immigrants would have the chance to purchase insurance in the public option, a government-run health care plan that would offer basic coverage at a low price.

FAIR also argues for more robust verification measures for the affordability credit and making sure that illegal immigrant parents won’t be able to receive coverage if their citizen children are eligible.

FAIR has a point that illegal immigrants would likely be able to buy insurance on the national health insurance exchange. We don’t see anything in the bills that would hinder that. A Congressional Research Service report issued Aug. 25, 2009, confirmed our observation. The House bill “does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens participating in the Exchange — whether the noncitizens are legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently,” the report said.

But it’s worth pointing out that illegal immigrants participating in the exchange would be paying for their insurance like everyone else. That’s similar to the current system — we’re not aware of any particular restrictions that stop illegal immigrants from buying private insurance now. Under health care reform, illegal immigrants would be able to buy private insurance or the public option.

The Politifact writer’s logical stumblings are mind-numbing.

First, on the subject of ‘affordability credits’ (ie; taxpayer-funded insurance premium subsidies for those earning up to 400% of the federal poverty level), she writes “The bill specifically says that people in the United States illegally are not eligible for tax credits, on page 132, section 242.” , and seems to be content to take that simple statement at face value and move on.

Yet just a couple of paragraphs later, she actually agrees with FAIR’s position that the lack of citizenship verification policies in HR3200 will actually allow illegals to gain access to both the public option or the exchange.

OK then, so what’s to stop them from obtaining  the affordability credits? Absolutely nothing, because there is no verification process mandated in the bill.

(This would be a good time to remind our readers that two republican-sponsored amendments that would have required citizenship verification were voted down by the democrats.)

She then goes on to state outright “Under health care reform, illegal immigrants would be able to buy private insurance or the public option.”

OK then, so what exactly is this woman’s argument? She set out to prove that Obama did not lie, but then proceeds to make the case that illegals would indeed be covered under the proposed house bill - basically reinforcing the widely-held perception that Obama did in fact lie.

Another point worth mentioning is that even if illegals were to pay full price for their coverage under either the proposed exchange or public option, what happens when they need to take advantage of that insurance coverage? Who do you think pays then? I won’t name names, but their initials are t-h-e A-m-e-r-i-c-a-n t-a-x-p-a-y-e-r

But it gets better still:

When we look at all of this evidence, it seems that health reform leaves in place the status quo on illegal immigration, and certainly does not provide any new benefits particularly for illegal immigrants.

“…particularly for illegal immigrants” as in written specifically for them? That’s not what we’re talking about.

First of all, if HR 3200 only left in place that status quo, that alone would be unacceptable. But if we are in agreement that the lack of any form of citizenship verification requirements in HR3200 would allow illegals access to the system - and we are - then it would also allow them access to ‘affordability credits’, ie taxpayer-subsidized health insurance. That, Ms Holan, IS a new benefit, one that doesn’t currently exist for the illegals in this country.

In Raleigh, NC this morning, HCAN held a pro-Obamacare rally at the state capital. I was among a relatively small but vocal group of counterprotestors stationed across the street. At our peak, we numbered about 70, and most of us stayed through the entire event.

The pro-healthcare crowd was several hundred strong, and for good reason - they arrived in at least three and possibly 4 full-sized tour buses (see pics below). One of the buses came in from Wilmington, which is a couple of hours away, and while I have no idea where the others came from, they sure as hell weren’t from around here.

Two of the buses were parked right around the corner and down the block, so it was no big feat of detective work to follow the o-bots back to them at the rally’s end. The other two (that I saw) were parked in a lot another couple of blocks back, but I lost track of them after they pulled out so can’t say for certain if they were both O-bot vehicles. No matter though,two buses, four buses, whatever…. it’s just further proof that these pro-Obamacare organizers fear what their rallies would look like if they didn’t bring their own crowd.

Their rally was predictable - a few speakers whose job it was to play the emotional angle, a couple more telling the crowd why they deserved free healthcare, and the requisite incindiary black preacher-type who I was told but unable to confrm was president of the Durham NAACP chapter. This man in particular drew loud boos from our side of the street when he invoked the name of God in his insistence on free insurance on the backs of taxpayers. Real fire-and-brimstone crap from this guy, sort of like Rev. Wright without the overt racism.

Oh, and there were many, many identical pre-printed signs.

What struck me about the pro-obamacare crowd was how completely willing they were to disregard the consequences and realities of taxpayer-funded government-run healthcare. It was all about what they were entitled to, what they deserved, how the billionaire insurance companies were allowing them to die in the streets, etc, etc…a real mix of fantasy-land sensationalism and pie-in-the-sky nonsense. It really leads one to wonder - and I say this with absoutely no malice - just how tenouous a grasp on reality the bulk of these people have.

One in particular caught my attention (sorry, no pic) - this one guy spent a large portion of the rally facing and waving a dollar bill at us from across the street. Try as I may, I was totally unable to figure out what his point was. If the cops weren’t doing such a good job of keeping our two sides separated, I might have gone over to him and pointed out that the people looking for a handout were behind him, not in front of him.

Our people were awesome, of course. The signs were good and the passion strong. If I have one concern, it’s that we need to get better organized. This sentiment was shared by several other people I spoke with, and the general feeling was - based on turnout at past events - that if the communication had been better, we could have turned out significantly more people. This is something I am going straight to work on tonight.

A couple of personal notes: On the way back and forth between bus parking areas to get pictures of the O-bots ‘grassroots’ transportation after the rally’s end, I had a couple of interactions with some of the pro-reform people. The first one, an older black woman, was having trouble holding on to her armload of pro-obamacare signs on her way back to her car, dropping one in the process. As I passed, she asked if I could help her out and I did. She dropped another, and I got that one for her as well. Just two human beings who had both just minutes before been screaming at each other from different sides of the street, now pleasantly and peacefully interacting with each other. I was struck by the sheer normalcy of the moment. Yes, I left it alone.

A few minutes later, a small group of obamacare people walked past me in the opposite direction when one of the women, carrying a pro-reform sigh, said to me “can I get a thumbs-up?” I said “nope”, and kept on walking. After a few more paces though, I turned around and called over to her. When she turned around, I told her that I didn’t mean to be rude, and that however this healthcare disaster shakes that it will need to work for everyone. She said “me too, so how about a thumbs-up”, but I responded “not as long as you’re still carrying that sign”, and we went on our respective ways.

If there’s an aspect to this whole thing that I am having trouble dealing with, it’s how this administration’s far-left policies and aspirations have normal Americans choosing sides and at each others throats. At one crosswalk, it was me and about a half-dozen obamacare people and it was just….I dunno….weird. I don’t like having to size up my fellow citizens as friend or foe, but I guess that’s just where we’re at right now in Obama’s Amerika. I long for the day when the aforementioned ‘normalcy’ returns to our society, but I also know that those days may well be behind us.

No matter how troubling I find our current situation or how it weighs on me personally though, I will continue to fight for and defend what I know to be right, because it’s about so much more than just me. It’s about a future for my wife, my kids, my friends, family, city, state and country. It’s about joining with my fellow patriots to stomp out the flames of tyranny before they become a bonfire. It’s about restoring greatness to a nation being brought to its knees by an element -  fronted by a smooth-talking con man - whose goal is to take over industry, destroy capitalism and the free market, and to take from those who produce and contribute to give to those who do neither.

Next weekend I’ll be installing a new timing belt, water pump, crank and cam seals and valve cover gasket on my ancient Corolla in preparation for the trip to DC on September 12. A strong showing here can not only help kill  HR3200 (and HR676) once and for all, but put congress and the white house on notice that we will not be disregarded any more. Lest we forget, amnesty is next.

The out-and-out lies are just flying out of Washington today, from the white house, congress, and now even the DNC. The uprising by the people over Obamacare and the out-of-control spending by this administration over the past six months is being portrayed as some sort of coordinated attack being funded by right-wing concerns.

DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse brought out the heavy artillery in a lengthy statement issued late Tuesday blasting the GOP and enablers in interest groups for spurring the protests.

“The Republicans and their allied groups — desperate after losing two consecutive elections and every major policy fight on Capitol Hill — are inciting angry mobs of a small number of rabid right wing extremists funded by K Street Lobbyists to disrupt thoughtful discussions about the future of health care in America taking place in Congressional Districts across the country,” Woodhouse said in a statement.

To use an Obamaism, ‘Let me be clear”…..there has been no ‘thoughtful discussion’ by by our congressmen - at least not between them and us - but there has been elitist condescension by the boatload from these fuckers . Rather than give our concerns any serious consideration, they’ve been spending their time trying to figure out how to sell us on this pile of crap. They’re so far up Pelosi’s ass that they’ve forgotten that they work for us. No, I take that back, I think it’s more than that….I think they simply don’t care that they work for us. They know what’s best, and that’s that.

Too bad they weren’t counting on the backlash. They weren’t ready for it, they actually blew it off when it first started, and now they’re so freaked out at the sheer number of us standing up and fighting back that they don’t know whether to shit or wind their watches.

The DNC kills me. The left has for years been the absolute masters of disruptive protest, of getting out in the streets and in the faces of our elected officials - all to the benefit of the democrat party, I might add - that it must piss them off something terrible to see their own tactics being used so successfully by the opposition. The very suggestion that we’re funded by anyone is laughable. Have you seen our signs, fer chrissakes? Contrast the homemade and occasionally grammatically questionable signs found at the typical TEA party protest with the professionally printed signs, posters, banners and flyers you find at your basic ACORN/SEIU gimme-fests, complete with matching caps and t-shirts and then tell me who’s got the funding behind them.

Unlike the left, we’re not looking for a handout, a payday….free shit bestowed upon us by politicians in search of a vote. We’re out there in defense of our constitution and in opposition of a government that is drunk with power,  and well on its way to destroying our economy, our sovereignty, our future…..our very survival as a free people.

The white house today put out a request that they be notified in the event anyone sees or hears what they feel is ‘disinformation’ being spread about the proposed healthcare bills.

Yes, that’s right. Our government wants volunteer informants to snitch on their fellow citizens for excercising their first amendment right to free speech. This is unbelievable.

This is what a dictator does. This is not what the president of the United States of America does. And if you still won’t acknowledge who and what Barack Obama really is, then you are a goddamned fool, and completely unworthy of the freedom and liberties you’re helping him destroy. And to think there was a time when I considered myself a liberal, that I actually related to the likes of you, makes me sick to my stomach.

This isn’t over. Oh, I think a healthcare bill will pass alright, but it will only serve to throw gasoline on the flames….and you can mark my words on that.

OK, ok, I know that the title of ’sleaziest person in the Obama White House” is really about a 50-way tie, but deputy press secretary Bill Burton is a real piece of work…..the kind of guy who offends by his very presence, whose very demeanor says “yeah, I know I’m the biggest lying sack of shit you’ve ever seen - aside, of course, from the big guy - and you can’t do a thing about it’ … to the point that you just want to punch his lights out. To put it simply, Burton is pure 100% unadulterated Washington douchebag.

Watch this video of Burton being interviewed by Juan Williams (a lib I actually have a modicum of respect for) on O’Reilly this evening, lying through his teeth about cap and trade and healthcare, and tell me if his smug condescension doesn’t want to make you puke. On your way to the shower.
