Greta Van Susteren’s Devastating Smackdown of Roesgen

I have never been much of a Greta Van Susteren fan, but like her or not, there’s no denying her tremendous experience and professional credibility.

On O’reilly this evening, Bill and Greta discussed  Susan Roesgen’s disgraceful performance at the Chicago Tea Party on the 15th. Although many, many people, myself included, have taken Roesgen to task in the days since, Van Susteren’s comments are the first real critique of a ‘colleague’ from the perspective of a seasoned industry pro that I’ve heard, and it is far and away the most devastating. The smackdown value is completely off the scale.

Anderson Cooper Keeping It Classy

Anderson Cooper didn’t need to go there, but he did. Is it any wonder that CNN’s ratings are dropping like a stone when an award-winning journalist like Cooper resorts to junior-high level sexual innuendo in the middle of a serious story?

Welcome, Anderson, to the ranks of Maddow, Olberman, Shuster, Roesgen, et al. Loser.

This is nothing though compared to what Mike Taibbi had to say about Michelle Malkin.

The media has gone insane.

Man, I just don’t even know where to start. So much going on related to yesterday’s protests……

OK then, if there was ever any doubt, there shouldn’t be anymore. Not only is the media at large not going to represent us fairly or accurately, but they are now actively mocking United States citizens who are exercising their right to protest their government. Never mind how they lovingly covered the illegal alien rallies a couple of years ago, or brought the G20 protests into our living rooms almost non-stop. The assault on regular Americans by the mainstream liberal media is on. You want to know why? because they’re scared shitless. They’ve never seen anything like this, they sure as hell didn’t expect it, and now they’re worried that they may have overreached. Their choices are to acknowledge our movement, or to play it down and ridicule it. True to the liberal playbook, they took option B.

So, except for the despicable morons at MSNBC and CNN making ‘teabagging’ jokes, one might never know the Tax Day Tea Parties ever took place if it weren’t for Fox News and the blogs.

Here in Raleigh, NC, we had around 1500 turn out to the state capital building in downtown Raleigh, and we were, predictably, barely worthy of mention in the local media.

Raleigh may be a relatively bustling city,  but 1500+ people never convene for anything around here that’s not a concert, sporting event or the State Fair. Yet both the News And Observer (paper) and WRAL (TV news) websites had us buried well below the fold, and WRAL had us off the front page and un-findable without a site search by early afternoo

To be fair, the WRAL piece wasn’t bad, just hard to find. The News and Observer piece, however, was crap. Like so many other stories, this one by Jay Price played up the racial angle writing:

“The protesters were almost entirely white, a fact that hecklers in passing cars pointed out more than once. “All you white rednecks!” yelled one woman as she drove past the courthouse.

You know, there are a majority of white people at these events. So what’s the big surprise? The black vote turned out in record numbers for Obama, do you really think they’d show up in large numbers at a protest based largely on conservative principals? As I’ve mentioned written time and again, ALL Americans are welcome; those who stayed home did so by choice. I wish these media pricks would stop trying to make something out of nothing, but that would require journalistic ethics and a lack of bias, two things that have been all but eliminated in the American media.

You know something though? Screw ‘em all, we don’t need the media. This movement was built without them, and it will continue to grow in spite of them. And the more they show their true selves by reverting to things like the endless ‘teabagging’ references and transparent attempts to stir the racial cauldron, the more they’ll drive the moderates, many of whom are mortified by what they’ve done and who they’re now perceived to be aligned with – right back to us.

Keep the faith and keep up the good fight, people. This is only the beginning.

CNN’s Susan Roesgen Keeps It Classy…

In what is probably the worst case of journalistic bias I have ever witnessed by a mainstream news organization, some half-witted shrew by the name of Susan Roesgen goes on the attack at a Chicago Tea Party event, and then not two minutes later whines that the crowd is “anti-CNN”.

News flash for you there Susan, they probably weren’t ‘anti-CNN’ until you showed up with your attitude and agenda in full display, you nasty, elitist creep.

Watch this video as she actually attacks two tea party participants. Granted, neither of these two gentlemen elaborated their points as clearly as maybe they could have, but Roesgen’s behavior was despicable. Even by liberal media standards.

To make matters worse,  when they switch back to the studio, Kyra Phillips picks the smarmy, disparaging tone right where Roesgen leaves off.

This is nothing but a hit piece. Pure propaganda. CNN should be ashamed.

Tea Party Report from Raleigh

I got there late – there wasn’t a parking spot to be found within a mile of the capital building.  Lots of people…I can’t begin to estimate the size of the crowd, but there were at least a thousand, probably more.

All I can really tell you is that I haven’t seen this many people so upset about government in my lifetime. And, after spending my days surrounded by people who have no apparent passion for freedom, liberty, or against tyranny, it was great to be among this crowd of like-thinking Americans. It was tremendously encouraging, and I hope Washington was listening.

If there was sore spot to the evening, it was the local republican representatives putting “Vote GOP” stickers on people as they walked by, many of whom didn’t seem to notice exactly what they were being stickered with.. Pretty f-ing ballsy if you ask me. I took mine off immediately and told the gentleman that the  GOP’s got some work to do before I even consider supporting them again.

There’s a great thread over at Michelle Malkin’s site on the nationwide protests

Some pics, more to come:

Tax day Tea Parties – EVERYONE Welcome

I’ve been reading about how the left is starting to play the race card with regards to the tea party protests cropping up all across America. Michelle Malkin reports on how sensationalist race baiter Geraldo Rivera commented on how he’s “never seen any people of color” at the tea parties.

To those who choose to believe Geraldo and those like him, I ask you to consider just one simple thing – who, specifically, is telling “people of color” that they’re not welcome at these protests? If you’re honest with yourself with the answer, you may just start to realize how you are being played by the race hustlers.

Here’s a fact: ALL Americans are welcome at these tea party protests, as well as to any other organized or disorganized gatherings we may have in the future.

Unlike the left, we do not care what race, creed or color our fellow Americans are. We do not need to ‘stock’ our protests with ringers in order to play or pander to any particular demographic. We are protesting because we care about the future of America for ALL Americans, not just for some little select group.

Unlike the left, we are honest about who we are, what we’re doing, and why we’re doing it.

Don’t let the race hustlers like Geraldo and Acorn con you on this one – this isn’t a ‘white’ thing, it’s an ‘everyone’ thing. The current level, direction, and sheer wastefulness of government spending is an outrage that should be shared by all Americans. And believe me, when the bill comes due for the current administration’s wild, reckless spending spree, every last one of us, whether black, white, Christian, Muslim, conservative, liberal, etc… will be asked forced to ante up.

Please, come join us. We’d love to have you.
