Social justice in 2011 is a major tenet of the American left. It’s about taking from the producers and giving to the non-producers. It’s “spreading the wealth around”….entitlement programs, economic redistribution….equalizing society on the backs of those who create wealth and own property. It’s unions shaking down the ‘evil corporations’ and forcing them into bankruptcy (GM, Chrysler), overseas, or out of business. But you already know all that.

So just curious, but how would you explain a guy like Beck who has gone off about strangling Michael Moore and poisoning Nancy Pelosi… what’s his excuse?

First I’ve heard of this. Can you provide a link of some sort? Media Matters or Think Progress do not count. A word of warning though – if either of those things were done in humor and then blown out out of proportion by a hyper-sensitive left – and I’ll bet dollars-to-donuts they were – I will probably use the word ‘pussy’ at least once in our ensuing conversation.

And then we can talk about James Clyburn, Harry Reid and the word ‘Negro’. Or maybe we can talk about the Palin haters who openly and unabashedly wish her dead, or who attack her children. Or the Limbaugh haters who wished him dead when he thought he had a heart attack, or the people who call Michelle Malkin a ‘traitor cunt’ (because she’s Asian) and wish her dead on a regular basis, or maybe Montel Williams telling Michelle Bachmann to slit her own throat, Kathy Griffin, Joy Behar, George Clooney…..fuck, I could go on for days. All people who have made threats or wished harm against conservatives in a very ugly, non-joking manner, and all of whom have been given a 100% pass by the sensitive and fair-minded left.

Fuller was out of line, but when you are actually one of the victims at the epicenter of something as big at this… you deserve to be cut some slack.

I think many people, myself included, cut Fuller a lot of slack when he spouted off about Palin, Beck, etc.. the other day. What he did yesterday though went way, way beyond simply blowing off some steam. His defenders are claiming ptsd, but that does not excuse threatening someone’s life.

I believe people need to be held accountable for their actions. Not their imaginary actions (thinking of Maureen Dowd and the word ‘boy’), but the things they actually do. Fuller has been taken in for psychiatric evaluation, which is probably a good thing, but ptsd (which is what many of his defenders are claiming) or not, doesn’t give him a free pass on a death threat.

Well, I’m afraid I just don’t understand the mindset that says that only a trained professional can render an opinion on something that is readily apparent to the casual observer. For instance, would you need a fireman to tell you your house is on fire? A traffic engineer to to point out that your exit is backed up for a mile and a half at rush hour? A weatherman to tell you it’s cold out?

UPDATE: From the moment this story broke, the Left attempted desperately to claim the would-be assassin of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was a Tea Party member. As the mounting evidence in this case proves, Jared Lee Loughner is a Leftist Democrat, not a conservative, not a Tea Party member. This is an excellent case study in the Leftist media doing everything it can to malign the Tea Party because it serves the Obama Administration and the goal of the media is to destroy the Tea Party to help Democrats.

The same thing happened when Muslims bombed Times Square last year…and Mayor Bloomberg and the Leftist media tried to blame the Tea Party, when it turned out the terrorist was a Muslim (who was supported by the Left, as all terrorists are).

I think any rational person, having read the words of Jared Loughner, having seen his videos, and having seen his horrendous actions this afternoon, could reasonably conclude that he was/is not a man of sound mind.

Loughner isn’t a tea partier or conservative by any stretch of the imagination, and there are no ‘tea party terrorists’, no matter how much you might want there to be.

From all available evidence to this point, Loughner may be a leftist, possibly even an anarchist, but he is most certainly insane.
